The Structures Group, Inc., a structural engineering firm in Williamsburg, Virginia, and providing services within twenty-one (21) states, is seeking a Project Engineer with, or ability to obtain, a P.E. license with experience focused on the design and analysis of building structures.
Will prepare foundation and framing designs with accurate, detailed, and thorough design calculations for new commercial, residential, and industrial construction projects, as well as the renovation of existing facilities. Will provide site visit and attend design/construction conferences. Must have expertise in AutoCad, Revit, RISA-3D, and/or RAM Structural System and RAM Concept. Will also perform forensic analysis of existing structures, as well as construction administration services and Special Inspections. Will provide guidance to E.I.T./drafters.

Position requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering as well as a Professional Engineer license. Further, due to our forensic analysis experience, we have been solicited to provide structural analysis and remedial repair design in various disaster and restoration projects such as the 1989 and 1994 California earthquakes, Hurricanes Andrew (1992), Floyd (1999), Isabel (2003), Katrina (2005), Irene (2011), Michael (2018), Laura (2020), and Ida (2021) as well as numerous mid-Atlantic tornadoes and Nor’easters.
