Civil Design Engineer
Nature of Work
The Civil Design Engineer oversees engineering work for Public Works programs and capital projects, including planning, design, and construction. Responsibilities include managing staff in design, survey, and material testing; ensuring regulatory compliance, leading infrastructure projects, and handling engineering administration. This role collaborates with city departments, developers, consultants, and the public while conducting occasional site inspections.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal engineering practices and principles.Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.

Supervisory experience leading technical and/or professional employees.
