Are you looking to take the next step in your career? Due to retirements in our personnel, we are seeking a skilled and innovative Forging Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This person will eventually assume the position of Tooling Design Manager. We are located in a progressive rural community with great schools. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in forging engineering principles and be proficient in designing forging tools and components. This role requires creativity, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge solutions for our customers. Responsibilities

• Design and develop forging tools and components for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Utilize software tools such as ProE and Cimitron to create detailed drawings and models.
• Collaborate with project teams to define design requirements and specifications.
• Conduct simulations and analyses to validate designs.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting of prototypes.
• Ensure all designs adhere to customer requirements, specifications and best forging practices.
• Document design processes, changes, and results clearly for future reference.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Design Engineering or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in design software including ProE and Cimitron.
• Strong understanding of forging design principles and metallurgy.
• Experience in the forging industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with Plex Manufacturing software is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-engineering stakeholders.
• Employee Management skills necessary.
