Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (USA). The Department of Pediatrics of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine seeks a clinical laboratory geneticist. The holder of this non-tenure-track position at assistant professor to professor rank will practice at OU Health, an 804-bed integrated academic health system that includes the Oklahoma Children’s Hospital and the University of Oklahoma Medical Center.
Besides providing clinical case sign out in cytogenetics and molecular genetics, the successful candidate will conduct collaborative or independent scholarship and teach cytogenetics and molecular genetics. Allocation of effort is flexible, with clinician, clinician-educator and clinician-scientist tracks available.

Requirements are:
MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent degree
Physicians only: eligibility for medical licensure in Oklahoma
board certification or eligibility in Clinical Cytogenetics, Clinical Molecular Genetics, or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics)
experience with next-generation sequencing
proficiency in clinical laboratory administration, including assay development and quality management
ability to work collaboratively and proactively within a comprehensive lab medicine service line
commitment to outstanding teaching and mentoring of residents and medical students
Interest in bioinformatics would be a plus.
