While performing duties related to St. Clair Hospital this position is responsible for the efficient maintenance of specified medical equipment and systems in the Hospital (e.g., anesthesia machines, diagnostic ultrasound equipment, and lasers). This position is also involved in the capital equipment purchases and equipment evaluation process.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent in electronics, process control, or clinical engineering.
Knowledge of personal computer systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Five to seven years of hospital clinical engineering experience.

Performs routine repairs and preventive maintenance on clinical equipment and systems.
Participates in pre-purchase evaluation of clinical equipment and systems.
Maintains accurate documentation regarding repairs, preventive maintenance, and history record on department computer.
Educates hospital personnel regarding operation of clinical equipment as needed.
Provides on-call service when not on duty in the Hospital.
Completes miscellaneous documentation as required.
