This scholar will compliment one or more of the strategic areas of Human Health, Data Sciences, Materials Science, and Human Flourishing as identified in Baylor's In Deeds vision document. Candidates with areas complimenting the engineering school's current strengths are encouraged to apply, which include but are not limited to; 1) biomaterials, 2) biomedical devices and sensors, 3) biomechanics, 4) bioinspired and biomimetic materials and systems, 5) medical imaging, 6) biofluids and 7) cardiovascular engineering.
