Pioneer Community Energy Seeks a Financial Analyst. Candidates may be hired as a II or Senior, depending on qualifications.
The Financial Analyst is responsible for performing professional analysis related to specialized accounting and financial duties and performing research, statistical, and other analytical work, with the Senior level performing the more complex work. Duties include:
Performing professional technical and analytical work in the areas of accounting, investments, and debt financing.
Developing methods and schedules to accomplish assignments, ensuring work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Overseeing and reviewing account summaries for use in preparation of the Pioneer's annual budget, mid-year review, and year end summary.
Researching, evaluating, and preparing complex statistical, financial, and demographic data used in reports, studies, surveys and analyses
Participating in the development and implementation of Pioneer strategic plans; investigating, analyzing, developing and preparing special analytical studies of complex administrative, operational, financial and/or other organizational issues or projects and corresponding documentation and technical reports.
Preparing and delivering oral and written reports based on information obtained through research and analysis.
Leading the general administration and tracking of supplier collateral, monitoring maturity dates, credit ratings and analyzing financial reports and proactively notifying management.
Monitoring non-energy contract expenses, terminations, renewals and reporting.
Reviewing and analyzing laws, controls, grants and administrative policies.
Revising and developing fees; negotiating and administering contracts; ensuring compliance with Pioneer’s procedures, policies, and pertinent laws, regulations and ordinances.
Maintaining and monitoring Pioneer's fixed asset lists; reviewing and approving expenditures; calculating and posting depreciation; administering debt obligations.
Analyzing, recording, and reporting complex financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting and reporting practices.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field.
For the II Level
Experience: Two years of professional financial analysis experience.
For the Senior Level
Experience:
Four years of professional financial analysis experience.
