Under general direction from the Director of Project Delivery, manages assigned Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) engineering projects from concept to closeout. This position is assigned project management responsibilities for small to larger and complex multi-modal transportation projects and programs designed to implement and achieve TAM goals and initiatives. This position ensures the success of joint agency projects through effective project management and collaboration including regular reporting to the TAM Commission and other affected agency Boards, Commissions and management staff on issues related to progress and implementation.
Training: Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course civil engineering or related field.
License or Certificate: Possession of a valid license as a Professional Civil Engineer in the State of California is required. Consideration will be made on a case-by-case basis of applicants registered in another State if application has been made to the California Board for reciprocity.
The Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) is the Congestion Management Agency (CMA) for Marin County and the Transportation Sales Tax Authority established to address Marin's unique transportation issues, and to fulfill the legislative requirements of Propositions 111 and 116, approved in June 1990. TAM also administers funds raised by the County’s Measure AA transportation sales tax approved by voters in 2018 and the voter approved Measure B - Vehicle Registration Fee. The TAM Board includes representatives from each city and town in Marin County, plus the five members of the County Board of Supervisors. TAM is responsible for implementing various transportation programs and projects on and off the state highway system
