Lundberg Jansen Technologies, Inc. (LJTI) seeks to fill the Regional Sales Manager role for its Jansen Combustion and Boiler Technologies (Jansen) product line in the Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas region. LJTI is a respected engineering firm specializing in the design and supply of process systems in the pulp mill and powerhouse areas of the pulp and paper and other related industries. The Jansen product line focuses on industrial boiler consulting and the design and supply of related equipment. We provide process engineering services and equipment for improving the operation of boilers burning biomass such as wood-derived fuel, agricultural residues (bagasse, soybean/rice hulls, etc.), natural gas, oil, coal, and black liquor.
The Regional Sales Manager reports to the North American Sales Manager.
Required Skills and Experience:
LJTI is a growing company. This role requires an enthusiastic, self-motivated hunter that can work independently or in a team environment.
Strong business sense and at least 5 years industry expertise selling products, engineering, systems, and services into the pulp mill and/or powerhouse area.
High technical aptitude and familiar with application engineering.
Effective time management skills and the ability to work within deadlines.
Experience in representing the company at customer meetings.
Willingness to travel extensively (65% of the work month) within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities:
Directly manage and lead the sales efforts with clients in collaboration with the internal Process and Design teams.
Directly interface with clients on the project requirements, technical aspects and features and benefits of Jansen systems. Present sales and technical materials as required.
Manage sales related activities, status and projections through proposal tracking system.
Gain technical knowledge of the Jansen products and technologies with internal training, continuing education, and study.
Develop and manage relationships with key clients.
Participate in conferences and industry trade associations.
Develop and execute an individual sales plan.
Perform market and territory analysis.
Contribute marketing content and ideas, participate in the company marketing strategy.
Actively participate in team meetings, company training events and special events.
Complete various reports, sales plans and sales forecasts as required.
LJTI also acts as the representative of our partner company Enero Solutions. Enero is based in Montreal, Quebec and provides controls optimization services for Advanced Process Control, Steam Header Management, Energy Management for multi-fuel boilers, Operations Simulators, and Process Data Collection and Analysis software. Your role is to build brand awareness for Enero and arrange sales calls via Teams and site meetings for their SMEs. This work is typically concurrent to Jansen’s as the facility contacts are often the same people and the two companies’ skills mesh well.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Higher Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred).
Demonstrated sales experience in the pulp and paper industry.
Strong industry technical expertise (boiler experience preferred).
NOTE: The successful candidate will reside in the sales region (Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, or Texas area).
