The Town of Greenwich (Greenwich, CT) is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead efforts in improving the community through project execution and implementation. This is a unique opportunity to lead award winning projects included within the $45 million Capital Improvement Budget encompassing bridge replacements, stormwater improvements and transportation initiatives.
As the Civil Engineer III, your leadership will be crucial in implementing our ambitious CIPs, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget and providing direction to a dedicated team in the Engineering Division. As a key team member of the DPW Engineering Division, your responsibilities will include leading and managing, strategic implementation, project budget oversight, and community engagement.
General Statement of Duties: Performs professional civil engineering work involving the application of advanced engineering practices in the performance of the design of Department of Public Works (DPW) facilities, field collection of civil engineering data, and investigations, analysis and preparation of reports with solutions to engineering problems. Supervises engineering staff and assists with the technical review and management of consultants’ services.
Civil Engineer III
Eighteen (18) months successful work as a Civil Engineer II (or equivalent position)and must have obtained a Professional Engineering License for the State of Connecticut or for another state that would permit reciprocity with Connecticut.
