Senior Engineering Manager (Multiple Positions), Becton Dickinson and Company, Franklin Lakes, NJ. Apply advanced technical principles, concepts, and practical experience to complex technical problems for molded products. Contribute to the development of new principles and concepts as part of Continuous Improvement (CI) for molded products in FDA regulated medical product applications. Lead robust manufacturability solutions for existing and new products and processes. Consult and/or mentor the molding, packaging, and engineering teams, plants and procurement and planning functions in assessing technical and business issues and developing solutions. Advise management and external stakeholders on advanced technical studies and applications. Collaborate with R&D on technological concepts and ideas, guiding their development into final products and processes. Provide operational process technology leadership and expertise for part design and assembly on multifunctional new product implementation teams. Manage molding group staffing and resource allocation for project portfolios execution. Create and assess career and performance development objectives and plans for molding engineering team members. Develop and maintain database of mold tooling, age, location, status and capacities for IDS and Category Manager in Strategic Sourcing. Provide technical and financial status reports to management.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (any) or a related field, and seven (7) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive related work experience.
Must have five (5) years of experience with/in:
Working on an engineering team within a molding/manufacturing plant;
Managing large capital projects (> $2MM) in a management or supervision role;
Implementing complex molding systems, quality improvements, and cost reduction initiatives;
Working in a regulated environment, such as FDA, cGMP, or medical device related ISO certified environments;
Six Sigma/DFSS; and
Scientific molding.
Up to 25% domestic and international travel required.
This role is defined as a hybrid role, with two days telecommuting allowed yet not required.
