Quality Engineer (Multiple Positions), Becton Dickinson and Company,El Paso, TX. Develop, change, and supervise Quality inspections to ensure quality control for the customer and the plant during the manufacturing process while meeting regulatory requirements. Process monitoring and adjustment, and product improvement including corrective action plans to address process and/or product issues. Document activities along the review and maintenance of operating procedures as well as department specific procedures. Develop, implement, and improve Quality procedures applicable to the manufacturing process for assigned product lines. Coordinate effort with other Departments to establish controls and process capabilities for assigned product lines. Support process validation, acceptance, internal and external audits and resulting corrective actions. Supervise the performance of assigned product lines regarding product quality, scrap, rejection rates and other applicable metrics. Assume a leadership role in analyzing and resolving process/product issues. Develop, or improve test methods for inspection, including Test Method Validation. Monitor customer complaints and trends, respond with specific corrective actions and customer interfacing. Ensure all company safety rules and regulations are followed and promoting general plant safety.
40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (any) or a related field, and four (4) years of related work experience. In the alternative, the employer will accept a master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (any) or a related field plus two (2) years of related work experience.
Must have four (4) years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or two (2) years of experience with a Master’s degree, with/in each of the following:
Applying Quality Engineering tools, such as sampling plans, root cause analysis, or statistics;
Statistical and risk assessment techniques such as utilizing quality engineering tools and methods, involving sampling plans, root cause analysis, statistics, creation of risk management files, and determining the risk context and scope;
Performing qualitative risk analysis, applying heuristic methods, three-point estimate, decision tree analysis, fault tree analysis, or effects analysis;
Test method (development and validation), equipment qualifications, process and design validation, risk assessment techniques, and component qualification methodologies;
Analyzing and optimizing manufacturing and quality systems;
Creating, reviewing, and coordinating test protocols and reports, and generating engineering proposals; and
Regulatory requirements, including ISO 13485, ISO 14971.
