Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered (DHA), a minority-owned professional consulting engineering services firm headquartered in Washington, DC, is seeking talented and motivated Civil Engineers to join our growing teams in Largo and Silver Spring, Maryland.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare engineering design documents including plans, reports, specifications, and cost estimates for review and submission to local jurisdictions.
Develop drainage area maps, perform hydrology analysis, and support stormwater management and storm drainage system design.
Design site layouts, grading, sediment & erosion control, roadways, and utility plans.
Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, clients, review agencies, and design teams on all phases of development.
Assist with construction document preparation and permit expediting.
Perform field investigations and constructability reviews as needed.
Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior engineers and team members.
Interpret and apply local jurisdictional codes, standards, and regulations, particularly in Prince George’s County, Montgomery County, and Washington, DC.
Exercise independent judgment and discretion to resolve design problems and drive project progress.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
4 to 10 years of experience in site/civil land development or related engineering projects.
EIT certification required; PE license preferred (required within 6 months if not currently licensed).
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent technical writing, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
Experience with local jurisdictional design standards and codes is highly preferred.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
