Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Perform analysis and design of Bridges and Buildings structures including vehicle and pedestrian bridges as well as low to mid-rise buildings.
Prepare computer analysis models, organize calculations, interpret design codes, and provide markups to produce construction drawings.
Interact with CAD Technicians (familiarized with the latest structural CAD standards).
Visit project sites and provide construction observations towards providing engineering solutions to different site conditions and/or existing conditions.
Interact with CSA Bridge Engineer, Architects and other Engineering disciplines.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering and Master's degree in Structural Engineering from Accredited Board (ABET).
5-10 years in structural engineering in Bridge Design.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required.
Licensed and Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Puerto Rico preferred.
Experience in structural engineering in Puerto Rico or similar geographical climate.
Strong experience in design of concrete, steel, and wood structures.
Knowledge of the design of aluminum and FRP structures is a must.
Strong knowledge in structural engineering analysis and design.
Proficient user of software such as Etabs, SAP2000, AutoCad, REVIT, CSIBridge, SAFE, Enercalc, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Tools.
Availability for a remote position with occasional travel for site visits and meetings in Puerto Rico.
