Applications are being taken for the position of Assistant Superintendent in a Borough-owned electric distribution system. This is a full-time, non-exempt position in the Electric Department. Salary is commensurate with experience ($95,000-110,000). A General Summary of job responsibilities include supervision of Electric Department personnel in performance of job duties and responsibilities; manage contracts for utility services, planning and developing electric distribution and facility projects; procure materials, supplies and equipment; resolve complaints from the public.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field preferred. Applicants must demonstrate a combination of education and experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities in the field of public electric utilities including principles and practices. An example of acceptable qualifications for this position include a minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical distribution systems of both overhead and underground transmission, knowledge of federal and state requirements, including OSHA regulations and requirements related to electric distribution and infrastructure; thorough knowledge of industry standards for electric distribution, metering and solar installation and operation. Valid Pa Drivers License.
