SINGH & Associates, Inc. seeks a Civil Engineer to join our Chicago Transportation Team.  This position will provide the opportunity to work on engaging transportation infrastructure projects.  The ideal candidate has strong written and oral communication skills, a positive team-oriented attitude, and a desire to grow personally & professionally.  You will join a professional services environment where you will work with bright, successful, motivated individuals who are proud to be engineers.

No experience is required; new graduates are preferred. Experience with CAD systems (MicroStation) is a plus.

• This position will work onsite 3 or 4 days/week (5 days for the first few weeks) at a downtown Chicago client’s office.
• Learn how to develop concepts for increased pedestrian and bike lane safety.
• Learn how to evaluate locations for proposed stop signs and other traffic calming solutions. Experienced traffic engineering staff will provide training.
• Work includes traffic analysis, traffic studies, report writing, field observations, and design..
• Performing other tasks deemed necessary by the project manager.
• Achieve client expectations for quality and schedule.

Qualifications + Skills

• BSCE Degree (or higher from) an ABET accredited institution in Civil Engineering
• Technical interest in traffic engineering
• EIT Certification is a plus
• Experience using CADD (MicroStation) is a plus
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to learn and invest in professional development
