Job Summary
You’re the human engine behind our certification programs—connecting with plants, geeking out on standards, and being the person everyone wants to call when something needs to get done.
We’re a membership organization, which means people matter—our members, our staff, and our partners. We need someone who’s tech-savvy, people-friendly, and has a dynamic mindset to keep us running and the membership experience seamless.
This job tracks and manages data for NPCA’s Plant Certification program; Plant Evaluation program; Personnel Certification program, and Product Listing program, including managing department timelines and logistics.
What You’ll Be Owning:
Run the show on NPCA’s Plant Certification, Personnel Certification, and other quality programs—drive the growth, fine-tune the systems, and make sure the industry knows who’s setting the standard.
Hit the road—visit precast plants across the U.S. and Canada, not just to check boxes, but to actually help them level up.
Coach and command a crew of third-party inspectors—train them, assess them, and make sure they’re repping NPCA with precision and professionalism.
Be the boss during audits—maintain full ANAB compliance and lead from the front when it’s time to show our work.
Stay fluent in the language of quality—codes, specs, standards—you know them, live them, and translate them in ways people actually get.
Bring the energy to trade shows, industry events, and committee meetings—be the face, the brain, and the handshake people remember.
Lead with clarity on NPCA committees—bring ideas, cut through noise, and keep things moving forward.
Be the tech whisperer—solve issues, offer real answers, and make sure our members always feel supported.
Own the extras—whatever else lands on your plate, you’ve got the range to handle it without breaking stride.
Outcomes/Measures of Success Overall, success in this role will be an organized team player who can ensure that our members have a reliable person at HQ to keep them informed about the plant certification program.
Working Location & Travel
We need you in the office because things just work better when you’re here to keep them running. Occasionally, you’ll get a message after hours (we try to avoid this, but life does not follow a schedule).
What You Bring to the Table:
Are an engineer or close to getting it—we’ll help you cross the finish line.
Have a degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering (bonus if you’ve worked in a plant before).
Love talking to people—from seasoned engineers to brand-new members.
Don’t mind being on stage—you’re great at training, speaking, and connecting in front of a crowd.
Are curious, confident, and not afraid to ask questions.
Have the “text me if you need anything” mindset (and mean it).
Travel well, adapt fast, and actually enjoy being on the move.
Can switch from plant boots to PowerPoint mode without missing a beat.
Bring personality, professionalism, and positivity to the room—even when the coffee runs out.
