System Design and Development: Design and develop electro-mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and Bills of Material (BOM), to support manufacturing and quality assurance processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams, manufacturing, and quality departments to integrate electrical and mechanical systems seamlessly.
Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and analysis of prototypes and existing systems to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for design enhancements and process optimizations to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers and internal teams, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to electro-mechanical products.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in electro-mechanical system design, with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks for designing mechanical components and assemblies. Experience with PCB Design Tools (Altium Designer) and Simulation software (ANSYS) is a plus. Experience in the design of electrical contacts and connector assemblies is also desirable.
Knowledge: Solid understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, mechanical design principles, and manufacturing processes.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to address complex engineering challenges effectively.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to project tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with electrical control panel design and integration.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to electro-mechanical systems.
Project management experience, with the ability to lead design projects from concept to completion.
Testing and Validation: Previous experience with Shock, Vibration, and EMI Testing to Mil Standards is desirable.
