The Clark County Public Works Department is seeking qualified candidates to apply for Manager Traffic Management. This position manages, coordinates and directs the design, engineering, installation and maintenance of County traffic and transportation-related devices and systems, including street lighting, that provide for the safe, rapid and environmentally compatible movement of people and goods; performs professional level engineering planning, design and construction oversight on difficult, complex and/or sensitive projects related to the area of assignment.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related field AND five (5) years of full-time experience in traffic engineering design and program management, including two (2) years of supervisory/management experience. Equivalent combination of formal education and appropriate related experience may be considered.
Licensing and Certification: Must possess valid registration as a professional engineer in the State of Nevada at time of application. If registered in another state, must obtain Nevada registration within one (1) year of the date of hire. Must possess valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appointment.
Clark County Public Works delivers a wide range of services to the community that primarily involve the design, construction, inspection, and maintenance of essential infrastructure such as roadways, bridges, traffic control devices, flood control facilities, and trails for public use. Other services include the review, permitting and inspection of off-site development and utility work, and vector control to abate pests in public right-of-way. In addition, the department manages newsracks along Las Vegas Boulevard and other County sidewalks as well as special event permits for activities that impact public roads and sidewalks such as films and marathons. The work is accomplished by the Director's Office administrative team and within the six divisions of the department: Construction Management, Design Engineering, Development Review, Road (infrastructure maintenance), Survey, and Traffic Management consisting of approximately 400 employees.
