Senior Field Service Engineer (Multiple Positions), Becton Dickinson and Company, Franklin Lakes, NJ. Support the Direct Technical Specialist (DTS) to maintain operational activities of local Field Service Engineer (FSE) teams. Point of contact within the district during initial phases of technical escalations. Secondary lead in resolutions for local escalations and interfaces with the National Field Service Systems Specialist, District Manager and Product Technical Support Team to coordinate response and plan of action execution. Utilizes internal tools and technologies in the coordination and distribution of district service call activities. Install and service instrumentation with minimum direct supervision by the Service Center in accordance with current ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards. Provide follow-up service for customers and confirm service is satisfactory. Maintain car stock inventory, test equipment, tools, and technical data. Ensure budget is maintained for field service travel and sites visits. Report quality control and technical problems to the Service Center and System Support Engineering Manager.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering (any) or a related field, and two (2) years of related work experience in the position offered or a related position. Must have two (2) years of experience with/in:

• Electronic Theory and troubleshooting of analog and digital electronics with the ability to apply system concepts in troubleshooting;
• Troubleshooting complex problems to specific modules, circuits, and components while providing solutions and guidance in collaboration with local Field Service Engineer;
• Optical Theory;
• Fluid Theory; and
• Diagnosis for operating system problems using utilities for both internal and external applications.

Up to 10% domestic travel required to various unanticipated client sites throughout the Northeastern Region of the United States.
