Civil Engineer II – Development Review
Civil Engineer III – Development Review
What You'll Be Doing:
No two days will be the same as you:
Review development proposals and make sure they're safe, sustainable, and ready to rock!
Team up with developers, contractors, and other city departments to keep those projects moving and grooving.
Put those engineering brains to work evaluating drainage reports, construction plans, traffic studies, and other important documents.
Become a floodplain guru and provide expert advice.
Step up to the mic at neighborhood meetings and share your engineering wisdom with the community.
What We're Looking For:
Civil Engineer II: A sharp mind with a strong foundation in civil engineering and a thirst for knowledge in development review.
Civil Engineer III: A seasoned pro with a PE license, floodplain management expertise, and leadership skills that shine.

Civil Engineer II: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution and completion of Engineer Intern (EI) or Fundamentals in Engineering (FE) certification is preferred. At least three-years of experience in Civil Engineering or closely related field is required. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
Civil Engineer III: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution and completion of Engineer Intern (EI) or Fundamentals in Engineering (FE) certification are required. Must have current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Colorado or ability to obtain within six months of hire. Must have current Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification or ability to obtain within one year. At least six-years’ experience in Civil Engineering or closely related field is required. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Two of those six years of experience must be related to land development or engineering plan and report review to ensure adequacy and compliance with codes and criteria. Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.
