Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering from an ETAC/ABET accredited program or related science curriculum and experience to be eligible for PE licensure in North Carolina; a current PE license from the state of North Carolina or ability to obtain said license within six months, and at least five years of experience in professional engineering work on projects similar to those typically found in local government (storm water, road design, sewer collection, water distribution, etc.).
