Position Summary:Under direction from the VP of Water, the Water Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Water Team while growing the water filtration business. The Water Supervisor provides technical direction to teams to execute goals and objectives on assigned water projects in accordance with customer specifications, timeline and design conditions. Working closely with VP of Water, this position has responsibility for laboratory testing, field support, and product engineering. Responsible for hiring, developing and supervising the performance of the water team.
What You Will Do:
Lead, supervise, and hold accountable technical water team members including technical advisor, CAD designer, and laboratory technician.
Conduct cross-functional meetings with global mechanical engineering team members.
Create systems and procedures to increase demand for product line. Systems include (& not limited to) softeners, media filters, reverse osmosis, demineralizers, and ultrafiltration.
Specify and select materials, quality plans, verification, and validation for drinking water filtration systems.
Manage projects from creation of the bill of materials to the release of the developed product for new food service and commercial drinking water treatment systems.
Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.
Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements when possible.
Recommend water technology to customers and stakeholders by reviewing customer requirements, design conditions, water chemistry, and performance standards.
Confirm product performance by conducting verification & validation tests
Determine project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
Maintains product compliance with federal and state regulations and agencies.
Perform other related duties as assigned by department team leader.
What You Will Bring:
Application Engineer expert in water treatment
Strategic leader, with proven track record on achieving results
2-4 years of experience in supervisor role applying water technologies towards customers specifications
Documentation skills using QAD or MRP type of software
Agency knowledge (UL, CE, CSA & NSF) (preferred)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) (Preferred)
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Considerations:
BS, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, or technical related field of business
Minimum two to four (2-4) years of water treatment application engineering supervisorial experience
Experience in Food Service and Commercial water filtration treatment systems preferred
