Applications are now being accepted for the position of Assistant Traffic Engineer or Traffic Engineerin the Safety Engineering Department at Ada County Highway District in the Boise, Idaho area. This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting salary of $69,472 - $89,440, DOQ.

Primary Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Supervisor, Traffic Engineering, the Assistant Traffic Engineer / Traffic Engineer performs, prepares, and reviews complex traffic engineering projects, including road safety audits, signal design, traffic operations/safety analysis, ADA & APS improvements, neighborhood traffic management for traffic calming, parking studies, and/or urban roadway design related to Traffic Engineering.
The Assistant Traffic Engineer / Traffic Engineer must demonstrate a strong capacity for exploring, identifying, designing and implementing new and proven safety countermeasures in a diverse transportation environment.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have considerable knowledge in urban roadway safety principles from a traffic engineering perspective.
The successful candidate must be skilled in CAD design software and have experience in plan production.
A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Traffic Engineering or a related Engineering field is preferred.
Idaho P.E. License preferred.
