As a Professional Engineer at KDOT, you'll have opportunities to specialize in areas such as:

You’ll lead, guide, and innovate across projects that shape the daily lives of Kansans. Expect to:
- Lead teams of engineers and technicians to deliver complex projects on time and on budget
- Coordinate with local governments and communities on vital infrastructure improvements
- Interpret plans and specifications, resolving challenges in the field
- Manage multimillion-dollar highway and maintenance initiatives
- Serve as a key voice in shaping statewide transportation safety and design standards
- Conduct applied research and help drive policy improvements
- Review and approve engineering permits, contracts, and technical reports
- Mentor junior staff and collaborate across departments

Salary & Benefits
- Annual Salary Range: $89,232 – $102,138.40
- Hourly Pay Range: $42.90 – $49.10
- Full benefits package including KPERS retirement, health insurance, and paid time off
