We are a multi-discipline engineering firm that specializes in electrical and structural design engineering services. Our core engineering service offering includes structural; instrumentation, control and electrical; and control systems programming. We primarily serve other engineering firms, public agencies, and businesses on projects consisting of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, and pump stations, chemical storage, and commercial buildings. Our Engineering Team is growing!
We are seeking a hardworking, bright, and creative mind to fill this upper-level engineering position. Working in this role provides an incredible and dynamic opportunity to work with some of the top engineers in the area. You will assist and oversee the work of mid-level engineers and designers in the preparation of plans, specifications, reports, design calculations, technical analyses, and researching updated design standards. In addition, you will support work in the field collecting technical data and information for analysis for electrical design tasks. Under limited management oversight, this position provides an incredible opportunity to perform high-level electrical engineering tasks associated with the design and evaluation of complex electrical power for mechanical process equipment and building lighting for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
Location: Concord, CA (with an alternate office in Oakland, CA)

Schedule: Monday – Friday
Start/End times have some flexibility – we strive for an 8-hour workday!
Hybrid “Work from Home-Office” routine is a consideration after the initial training period.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assists with project planning, scoping, proposing, and staffing; training and supervising the technical team; coordinating team activities; managing design, QA/QC, and production of moderately complex projects
Ensures engineering objectives are met; communicates progress; manages technical staff activities to keep projects on schedule and within budget
Prepares plans, specifications, and reports through advanced design calculations, technical analyses, and updated standard research
Demonstrates a strong understanding of electrical codes and design software
Develops electrical design reports, calculations, and drawings that meet current codes and standards, client specifications, and internal standards
Collaborates with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to gather technical data; works across disciplines including mechanical, architectural, civil, structural, and controls
Delivers project work within timelines and quality standards
Performs other related duties as assigned
Compensation: $146,000 – $210,000 annually depending on experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. without employer visa assistance

Requirements:
7–12 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
Master’s degree preferred
California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
Project Management experience
Experience with electrical power, lighting, and control systems design for water and wastewater facilities strongly preferred
